We love wood, especially when it means our history.
The De Zotti Venice Memories project was born out of our company’s passion for its own city, Venice, and the peerless handcraft that has forever been the hallmark of our business.
Our aim is to return Venice what it was by laying store on objects that tell of its past, taking them into our homes as immortal symbols of a city steeped in history, love and passion.
Every handmade item in the De Zotti Venice Memories collection is unique, crafted by hand in materials drawn from Venice.
Take la Briccola, made of a wood at once exclusive and of a kind, crafted from the mooring posts (called by Venetians briccole) used in the Venice Lagoon and given new life after decades of service. It is the signs of the sea and the march of time which give these posts their inestimable value.
Take the beams from old Venetian houses; when the buildings need grand refurbishment or are demolished, these beams are saved for their great quality and ability to stand the test of time.
Follow our Venetian Memories project and you will see how strong is our love affair with wood, above all wood that tells the tales of history.
